Evolution of The Indian Fashion Industry




Men and women of India have been fashion conscious since the time of Harappa and Mohonjo-Daro. Before the independence, Indian fashion was affected by globalization. This leads to a new era in the Indian fashion industry. There are many factors that helped a lot in the evolution of the Indian fashion industry. The important factors are beauty shows, cultural diversity, bollywood, liberalization, Indian designers. Because of the globalization, Indian fashion clothing has been evolving at a constant pace. Today, fashion is more cosmopolitan in India.

You should know that traditional dresses such as salwar kameez and saree are now being used in many different styles. 100s of different style of draping the saree are being seen now. You can easily see many styles of blouses like halter-neck, katori style, high neck blouses, back button blouses, puffed sleeve blouses and many others. You can easily see many changes in salwar kameez today, from short tunics to long ankle length ones, you can say that Indian women has embraced a wide range of cuts and styles today.
